 Hayle Estuary - RSPB

Location: SW550370 - Just west of Hayle town.
Admission: Free
Facilities: Hide and parking.

Features: Small but important estuary. Wintering duck, gulls and grebes, passage waders and terns, including many records of rarities.

 Marazion Marsh - RSPB
Reedbeds and open water.
Location: Marazion, east of Penzance.
Road: A30
Facilities: Public footpath. Good views available from road and car park.
Features: Cornwall's largest reedbed, with breeding Reed and Sedge warblers. Good for migrants and speciality is autumn Aquatic warbler (rare). Small but locally important populations of duck and waders.
 
 Stithians Reservoir - Cornwall Birdwatching & Preservation Society
Location: SS715365 - Near Stithians village.
Road: from A394 (Helston to Penryn) to Stithians, then signed to Carnkie. Facilities: Hides (keys from CBPS but good views available from causeway).
Admission: Free
Features: Parts of lake shallow with marshy edges proving attractive to waders and duck. Best in winter and passage periods.
 
 Tamar Lakes - South West Water
Location: SS295115 - Near Kilkhampton
Road: Off A39 then B3254 at Kilkhampton.
Facilities: Visitor centre, hides, cafe and toilets.
Admission: Permit required for some areas.

Features: Two neighbouring reservoirs. Best in winter and passage periods. Wildfowl, waders, raptors and Black tern regular.
