 Gibralter Point NNR and Bird Observatory - Lincs TNC

Coastal stretch of sandy/muddy shores, dunes and marsh.
Location: TF556580 - S of Skegness
Admission: Car park fee. Some areas restricted.
Facilities: Visitor centre and field station. Hides and nature trail, toilets.

Features: Best known as a migration watch point when large numbers of birds, including rarer species, pass through. Observatory and ringing station. Little Terns, Ringed Plover, Redshank (photo) and Lapwing breed.

 
 Tetney Marshes - RSPB
Saltmarsh, dunes and flats.
Location: TA345025 - near Cleethorpes.
Road: 2 miles E of A1031 at Tetney.
Admission: Free - please keep to seawalls to avoid disturbance.
Facilities: .
Features: Variety of passage and winter waders including Knot, Whimbrel, Grey and Golden Plover. Harriers on passage. Breeding Little Tern
 
 Far Ings - Lincs TNC
Flooded clay workings on edge of Humber.
Location: TA010233 - Barton-upon-Humber
Road: B1218 in Barton or from A1077 W of A15 Humber Bridge roundabout. (map on website)
Facilities: Visitor centre, hides (one with disabled access), shop.

Features: 9 species of warbler breed including Grasshopper. Kingfisher, Great-crested and Little Grebes, Water Rail. Passage waders and winter wildfowl. Bittern often winters.
